Nathan setup By the Metre alongside Rob Mason (Rob Del Terror) in November 2021 and it has gone from strength to strength.

The night is a celebration of rhythm and cadence. Words and music. Poetry and beats. An opportunity for people to come together and experience a unique evening of emotions and laughter, bearing witness to the finest wordsmiths around, along with some funky tunes from Rob’s turntables.

Featured artists include the likes of Leon the Pig Farmer, Skittles, Argh Kid, Kate Ireland, Antony Szmierek, Amy Harris, Ruth Cockburn and many, many more.

Based in the heart of Blackpool at, distinguished gig venue, Bootleg Social, By the Metre happens once every four months and is both a fun-filled party atmosphere, as well as a deep reflective space all sewn together with great vibes and even better people.
